Yes, You Can Still Drive Up The Mountain!

February 29, 2008

Please pardon our temporary traffic re-routing – it is necessary at this stage in the building of the YMCA and the Village to do a bit of underground work – thus Senator Reynolds Road is closed at the base of the mountain. But you can still reach us! Just follow the detour signs through Newbridge Shopping Center to take the short gravel byway to link back up with Senator Reynolds Road. This will be a short inconvenience, and, in our opinion, completely worth the convenience of having a state-of-the-art YMCA so close so soon!

Last week we updated our billboards that are displayed on Weaverville Highway, Interstate 240, and Interstate 40.  We are very excited about our new look – it matches the natural design we aim for in all of our products.  Take a look for yourself and follow the directions to our mountain-top Sales Center, located in a Mountain Villa in The Preserve.

We love to boast of our wonderful resources in Asheville, and one that particularly stands out in its innovation is the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement. NCCCR’s Mission Statement: NCCCR was established in 1988 as an integral part of UNC Asheville with the threefold purpose of providing today’s accomplished adult with opportunities for lifelong learning, leadership and community service, each combined with the fellowship of peers sharing a common quest for continued growth and service to others.

Center participants help to set annual objectives and implement programs through the Center Steering Council in collaboration with NCCCR’s professional staff. The center draws financial support from public funding, private fees, consulting services, gifts and foundation grants.

UNC Asheville and the North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement are just three miles from Reynolds Mountain. Visit their website to learn about the incredible classes, lectures, workshops, weekend excursions, and incredible sense of community offered: www.unca.edu/nccr/index.htm Plan a weekend visit to Asheville - attend a workshop and come for a tour of our Luxury Townhomes and Mountain Villas, and learn about our progress with Condos and shops in The Village – you’ll understand the magic of our beautiful homes, fabulous views, and endless Asheville resources so close by!
